Later, all protesters from FBC (SA), COSATU, SACP went into the =

forefront of the struggle for democracy and workers' rights and huge =
union in SA.There are currently 17 trade unions affiliated to COSATU, =
with a combined membership of over 1,7 million. COSATU is a partner in =
the Tripartite Alliance together with the South Africa Communist Party.
The South African Communist Party was founded in 1921 and has always =
been in the forefront of the struggle against imperialism and racist =
domination. The SACP released the Statement by General Secretary Mr. =
Blade Nzimande. He said promoting trade and economic relations with the =
Burmese military junta was propping up a regime that is no different =
from apartheid South Africa.He continued
"South African business cannot make the same mistake twice. The SACP =
calls for all political, economic and trade ties with the Burmese junta =
to be halted with immediate effect."
