Eleven charged with abetting illegal immigrants to leave Singapore
Eleven Myanmar nationals were charged in court on Saturday for abetting =
three other Myanmar nationals to leave Singapore illegally on Friday =
evening.=20
The eleven, aged between 20 and 49 years old, allegedly conveyed the =
three Myanmar nationals illegally on a wooden motorised boat off Pasir =
Panjang.=20

The eleven will face a jail term of up to two years and a fine of up to =
S$6,000.=20

The three illegal immigrants were charged with entering Singapore =
illegally.=20

They will face a jail term of up to six months, three strokes of the =
cane and a fine not exceeding S$6000.=20
