WHO'S ARMING THE BURMESE ARMY?

The CIA reported that the Burmese army spent almost $4 billion for its
defence in the fiscal years 1997 and 1998. According to the US Department of
Defense, Burma has been supplied with arms and ammunitions by the following
countries.

China since 1980
India since 1991


Poland,Russia and Israel used to be supplying Burma with weapons and some
technology in the past. Detailed reports will be posted as soon as they are
available.
