71 illegal aliens nabbed
GOMBAK police picked up 71 illegal immigrants in two Ops Nyah operations =
early this morning.=20
The foreigners, 65 Indonesians and six Myanmar nationals, were rounded =
up from two construction sites in the Gombak district.=20

The construction sites are located in Taman Ehsan in Kepong and Taman =
Industri Bolton in Selayang.=20

The foreigners were detained for various offences connected with their =
identification or travel documents.=20

The three-hour operation which started at 11 pm was headed by Gombak =
Public Order and Traffic chief Assistant Superintendant Abdul Wahab =
Harun.=20

"This is part of an on-going operation to flush out illegal immigrants =
in Gombak district," he said.=20

The operations involved 13 policemen with the help of 30 Rela personnel. =


The illegal immigrants were then sent to lock-ups in Selayang, Gombak, =
Rawang and Kuang police stations.=20
