SURABAYA, Indonesia, Dec 30 Asia Pulse - State cementproducer PT Semen =
Gresik (JSX:SMGR) and its two subsidiaries PTSemen Padang and PT Semen =
Tonasa exported 4 million tons ofcement from January to November this =
year.=20
This marks a sharp increase from last year's exports of 1.54million =
tons, SMGR spokesman Saifudin Zuhri said Wednesday.=20

The three cement producers exported their products toAustralia, =
Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Maldives, Bangladesh,Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri =
Lanka, Yemen, Nigeria, Egypt, Chile,Dubai and Mauritius.=20

Zuhri noted that the three cement companies in September1998 entered =
into a partnership with Cemex, the biggest cementcompany in the United =
States.=20

Cemex, which exports its products to 23 countries, has beensupporting =
the human resources development of the threecompanies by sending their =
personnel to training courses inMexico and other countries, he said.
