UN System and Burma/Myanmar
A NOTE ON DATES: In this Library, written and oral reports are given the date of publication or delivery, but resolutions are dated by date of decision (the date of publication might be several months later, when the report of the meeting is issued)...If any links in this section are dead, copy the document number and paste it into the Symbol box of the UN Documents Search engine at http://documents.un.org/...
THE ILO MATERIAL is in the International Labour Organisation section.
Accessing the UN Webcast (video)
So far I have not found an easy way to search for videos on the UN Webcast, apart from the Human Rights Council Webcast which has a search engine. A google site-specific search brings up many pdf and html documents. Browsing each UN body by year works.
Main UN human rights bodies working on Burma (Myanmar)
See also the Human Rights section for human rights standards and UN mechanisms in several areas (discrimination, children, labour rights, freedom of expression etc.) as well as reports of human rights violations. Also use the alphabetical list and Search function...N.B. many UN web pages require disablement of your firewall oo access documents.
United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)
The 3rd Committee of the UNGA is the body which deals with human rights issues. Its decisions are then taken to the GA Plenary for endorsement
General Assembly - Webcasts
General debates and statements by the Special Rapporteur on Myanmar, the UNSG's Representative on Myanmar and other speakers
GA resolutions on the situation of human rights in Myanmar
The texts of the resolutions may be the Third Committee "L" texts or the versions endorsed in plenary and published in the official record. The advantage of the "L" versions is that only they have the list of co-sponsors...For voting records and reports of the meetings, see the English sub-section.
