Follow-up to the discussion on Myanmar: Implementation of the joint strategy for the elimination of forced labour, operation of the new labour legislation including freedom of association, impact of foreign investment on decent working conditions...Relevant strategic objective: Promote and realize standards and fundamental principles and rights at work. Policy implications: Follow-up to the resolution adopted by the Conference with further guidance to be provided by the Governing Body. Legal implications: None. Financial implications: Depending on the Governing Body?s decision, the Office would call upon member States to provide voluntary contributions. Follow-up action required: Depending on the Governing Body?s decision, the Office would implement the proposed interim programme framework and report on progress in November 2013.
