''This Act shall extend to the whole of the Union of Burma. 2. In this Act. unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context.— (a) " Board ” means a Board of Conciliation constituted under this Act ; (f) “Court ” means a Court of Inquiry constituted under this Act ; Trade Disputes. 279 1 (aa) award means any interim or final determination arrived at by the Industrial Court in an arbitration proceeding arising out of any reference to it under section 9 : » (bb) “ Industrial Court " means the Court of Industrial Arbitration constituted under section 8 : 1 (dd) “ Industry ” means— (i) any business, trade, manufacture or undertaking or calling of employers ; ~ (ii) any calling, service, employment, handicraft or industrial occupation or avocation of employees ...''
