"The Youth Invitation Programme is implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and was established in the hope that all people of the world can find unity through mutual trust and friendship. JICA's recognition of the youth as the stronghold in the promotion sustainable culture of peace, understanding, tolerance and coexistence among ASEAN nations and Japan is crucial in building a better tomorrow for all given the fact that the youth of today will become the leaders of the future. JICA's spirit lives among the scholars of the JICA-YIP Batch 2004 ASEAN Component under the Health and Medical Services category and is committed to sustain JICA's goals and objectives in every endeavor they do in their own communities and countries whilst maintaing communications among them for the exchange of views, ideas, experiences and best practices and in building a strong network in pursuit of world peace. This egroup also provide each members from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Japan an avenue to discuss pressing issues (discussed during the YIP) on culture, religion, universal morality, sexuality, traditions, values and mother nature that has been affected by the poisons of individualism, globalization, capitalism, the concept of moral relativity, the false and deceptive interpretation of democracy and other western ideologies forcibly injected to oriental thoughts and society."
