Myanmar South East - Emergency Overview Map: Number of people displaced in South East since Feb 2021 and remain displaced (As of 28 Aug 2023)

Description: 

"In the South-East, the number of IDPs increased from 513,000 last week to 515,600 this week. In Mon State, about 2,400 IDPs were verified in Thaton Township. Among them, 450 were displaced within the township while 1,900 IDPs originated from Bilin Township. In Bago Region (East), intensified fighting displaced 30 people from Thandaunggyi Township in Kayin State to Taungoo Township. In Kayin State, 150 people from two villages in Thandaunggyi Township were displaced within the township due to intensified fighting. Across the border, about 9,400 people from Myanmar remain displaced in Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand..."
