"Nay Pyi Taw, 19 May — U Soe Aung of Thegon Constituency asked about allotment of land plots as a 6x120-foot-area each for new village including a warehouse for crops, a plot for winnowing, cattle farm and feedstuff pile at Tuesday?s session of Pyithu Hluttaw. Deputy Minister at the President Office U Aung Thein replied that as new village must be formed with areas of school, monastery, dispensary, market and rural roads, each land plot with 120 feet in length and 60 feet in width will be allotted to local residents in new village depending on the designated area. U Aung Thein Lin of South Okkalapa Constituency asked a question on ways to take action against construction companies for building disqualified foundations of schools. Deputy Minister for Education U Thant Shin said that action is being taken the construction companies for reconstruction of disqualified buildings, substitution those who offended the disciplines of the contract with new ones, announcement of a blacklist for construction entrepreneurs for disqualified structures. With regard to ques-tion on construction of staff quarters for teachers at Basic Education High School in poor transport areas in Yesagyo Township and repairing of staff quarters raised by U Tin Htay Aung of Yesagyo Constituency, the deputy minister replied that a budget for K442.8 million has been earmarked to repair and construct 17 basic education schools in Yesagyo Township in 2015- 16 fiscal year and there is no plan to construct staff quarters and school buildings. The Hluttaw invited MPs to discuss the bill amending Lower Myanmar Town and Village Lands Act."
