Pyithu Hluttaw 6 July, 2015: Deputy Minister for Health fields queries at Pyithu Hluttaw

"Nay Pyi Taw, 6 July — As the Traditional Medicine Department covers a wide range of duties other than treatment, its director general must be multi- skilled, Deputy Minister for Health Dr Win Myint told the Pyithu Hluttaw session on Monday. The deputy minister also said the plan to double the patient capacity of the 50-bed hospital in Gyobingauk would be submitted to the Union Government with the approval of the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance, following surveys of land for new buildings. The ministry had no plan to upgrade the rural healthcare centre into a station hospital during the current fiscal year, the deputy minister said. Afterwards, the session heard findings of the bill committee on the motor vehicle bill, the bill repealing the pension act and the bill amending the penal code."
