"1. The 14th Congress o f the Karenni National Progressive Party was convened on the 27th of December 2021 and successfully concluded on the 30th o f December 2021. 2. At the Congress, the four-year reports o f the Party and government work implementation as well as interim Party's affairs of 13th Party Congress were submitted and approved. Furthermore, the Party's constitution and government procedure were reviewed and amended. Future work plans were also discussed and laid down. 3. Discussion on cooperation with fellow Ethnic Armed Organizations, the National Unity Government, Karenni National Defense Forces, and political parties to end military dictatorship and all forms of dictatorship during the interim period, as well a s collectively striving together with other stakeholders for building up a future federal democratic union within National Unity Consultative Council were also made at the Congress. In addition, necessary measures for the investigation and documentation o f the military coup-m akers' intentional attempts of crimes against humanity and all forms of human rights violations were also laid down for future implementation. 4. A new Party Chairman, 18 Central Committee Membe rs and seven Alternate Central Committee Members of the KNPP were elected by a secret vote.
