HLUTTAW SESSIONS:- Pyithu Hluttaw: Anti-corruption Commission receives 533 letters of complaint, with three solved: Nay Pyi Taw, 23 Sept— "U Mya Win, Chairman of the Anti-corruption Commission, in his response to a question at the Pyithu Hluttaw (Lower House) session on Tuesday, said that the commission received 533 letters of complaint in a period from 10 March to 21 August this year, with three complaints having been dealt with. Under the anti-corruption law, wealth and property accrued from corruption are liable to be nationalized, he said. He also talked of arrangements to protect informers from possible threats, with help to be sought from the Ministry of Home Affairs as necessary." As regards the questions related to the dissemination of information about the State Constitution, Deputy Minister for Information U Pike Htway replied that the Myanma Radio and Television has broadcast 42 songs, 6 TV programmes, eight talks and an educational programme on the State Constitution..."...Amyotha Hluttaw: Amyotha Hluttaw continues its seventh day session: Nay Pyi Taw, 23 Sept— "The seventh day of 11th Amyotha Hluttaw (Upper House) was held here on Tuesday. U Thaw Zin Oo, representative of No. 9 constituency in Magway Region asked if the Kaindayar road which is being blocked with brick wall of Pakokku General Hospital compound will be opened to the public. Union health minister Dr Than Aung said that the Pakokku General Hospital was established in 1915, that as the number of in-patients has increased and the facility needs to be expanded, and that the Kaindayar road, 50-foot wide and 472-foot long, with a total area of 0.546 acre was demarcated for the compound of the hospital..."...Pyidaungsu Hluttaw: Pyidaungsu Hluttaw in progress for the sixth day: Nay Pyi Taw, 23 Sept — "The 11th session of first Pyidaungsu Hluttaw continued for the sixth day here on Tuesday with the discussion of representatives on results of measures taken by the investigation commission for the decision of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw to tackle the problems of land losers. U Kyi Thar, representative from Gwa township constituency, said land disputes occurred due to protests of residents against land grabbing cases. He said that township administration offices and land record departments did not keep land documents well.
