Pyithu Hluttaw 10 June, 2015: Surveys to be conducted for construction of a new bridge in Chin state [incl. Kyatdauntkan Lake]

"Nay Pyi Taw, 10 June — Ministry of Construction will conduct surveys on designs and cost for construction of a new bridge in Palatwa Township in Chin state that will link with Rakhine state crossing Kaladan River. The cost will be submitted to the Union government and Pyidaungsu Hluttaw in 2016-2017 fiscal year for approval after being estimated the cost, said Deputy Minister for Construction U Soe Tint to Pyithu Hluttaw on Wednesday. U Soe Tint said the bridge should have the length of 1,200 feet and 50 feet height from the maximum water level of the river. Under the management of Sagaing region government, experts from the Department of Archaeological Research and National Museum under the Ministry of Culture will conserve the historic Kyatdauntkan Lake which is one of the tourist attractions in Myanmar. This archaeological site was last maintained by the state budget K 6.8 million in 2002-2003 fiscal year, but there is no budget allocation for this in 2014-2015 fiscal year and 2015-2016 fiscal year."
