116 members resign from Mohnyin Township NLD

YANGON, 10 July-A ceremony to present resignations of 1 16 members of Mohnyin 
Township National League for Democracy, Kachin State. was held at Mawhan 
Village Peace and Development Council Office of the township on 26 June 
morning.


One hundred and sixteen members of Mohnyin Township NLD, of their own 
volition resigned by sending letters of resignation to Township Multiparty 
Democracy General Election Commission and the party concerned as they no 
longer wished to participate in party politics of NLD.


On 26 June 1999, a ceremony to present resignations of Township NLD was held 
at Mawhan Village Peace and Development Council Office.


Member of Mawhan Village NLD U Sein Maung, on behalf of all NLD members, 
explained the reason. Vice-Chairman of Mawhan Village NLD U Kyaw Nyunt handed 
over the letters of resignation to Chairman of Township Multiparty Democracy 
General Election Sub-commission U Mya Kyaing
