Press release on battles in fourth week of March

"SAC terrorist Force launched offensive from 6 mile, 5 miles and Htolwebila in Demoso to Ngwe Taung Ywar Thit in Phruso township. SAC sent convoy consist of 40 vehicles from Shan state to karenni state, reinforce in Demoso township. Karenni Coliation Forces continuously carried out Guerrilla attacks on SAC force encompassed on mountains and hills in vicinity of Htolwebelar and Ngwe Taung Ywar Thit inDemoso. On March 24, Fight escalated between Karenni coalition forces and SAC terrorist force encompassed in Htolwebela village. SAC terrorist force burnt down (6) houses in Htolwebelar village. Moreover, KNDF launched guerrilla attack on SAC force advancing to Ngwe Taung Ywar Thit in Pruso townships. The fight was intensified and SAC force incurred heavy causalities. Early Morning on March 25, KNDF attacked SAC force stationed on hill near Lin Phon Lay Village. KNDF occupied the hill as SAC forces retreat and abandon their post during the attack. In the evening of that day after 4 pm, there were two clashes between Karenni Coalition Forces and SAC force advancing form Daw Poe Ci, 5 mile and 6 Mile to Bathalein. Five houses were burnt down by SAC forces in 5 Mile. Two attacks were carried out by Karenni Coalition forces on SAC’s infantry Battallion ( Kha Ma Ya – 428 ) in Pruso on March 26 and 27. The Fight last for about an hour in each attack, SAC incurred heavy casualties. On March 26 at (8:00) pm, KNDF attaked on (Kha Ma Yan – 422) based in Moe Bye, killing five SAC soldiers. Early morning at (6:00) am on March 27, Karenni Army and KNDF carried out attack on SAC force stationed in Khone Thar, Demoso. Six SAC soldiers were killed in the attack. Another attack was conducted on No. (14) Military Training School in Pruso on March 27, Killing two SAC soldiers. On March 28, KNDF attacked SAC force in Daw Nang Khar, Demoso. two soldiers including an officer of SAC were killed. Two elderlies were injured in Daw Taw Ku village in Demoso, by SAC force’ shelling the village around 16:00 pm on March 28. On March 30, KNDF and the People's Defense alliances Forces jointly attacked SAC’s infantry Battalion (Kha Ma Yah - 428) in Pruso Township. Eight soldiers, including an officer of SAC were killed in the attack. On March 24, A comrade from KNDF B15 was killed during the battle of Ngwe Taung Ywar Thit. The KNDF pays tribute to the fallen comrade as a martyr..."
